Matthew A. Gluth is an attorney advisor with the Administrative Conference of the United States. Before joining ACUS, Mr. Gluth worked as an Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration’s Appeals Council, which serves as the final level of administrative appeal for claims under Titles II and XVI of the Social Security Act. Mr. Gluth advised officials on matters related to adjudication, rulemaking, policy development, technology, and training. Prior to working for the Social Security Administration, he was an associate in a litigation firm and earlier worked for many years as an editor for the Bay Area News Group and other daily newspapers.

Mr. Gluth earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut. He holds an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science from Macalester College.
