Public Availability of Settlement Agreements in Agency Enforcement Proceedings

This project addresses the public availability of settlement agreements reached during administrative enforcement proceedings. It seeks to identify best practices for providing public access to such agreements without disclosing legally protected materials, consistent with the transparency objectives and privacy considerations of the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and other relevant laws and directives.

Professor Elysa Dishman (Brigham Young University School of Law) is serving as the consultant for this project.
