President Trump Nominates Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to U.S. Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, June 10, 2018 - President Donald J. Trump announced the nomination of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to fill the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy created by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy’s pending retirement.

Judge Kavanaugh has served as a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States (ACUS) since 2010. ACUS is pleased to count among its members over a dozen current and former federal judges, including Justice Stephen G. Breyer and Justice Elena Kagan. The late Justice Antonin Scalia, a former ACUS chairman, was also a member.
