Jim Chen is an expert on law, economics, and regulatory policy. He provides expert advice on the law of regulated industries, particularly telecommunications, electricity, and financial services. He is Of Counsel at the Technology Law Group, L.L.C. Highlights of Chen's academic experience include service as the Justin Smith Morrill Professor of Law at Michigan State University, the law school dean at the University of Louisville and a publication record spanning regulated industries, the emerging field of "biolaw," and economic and quantitative analysis of law. He has exerted profound scholarly influence on the judiciary, the academy, and the bar. Chen is a Fulbright Scholar, a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, and a former Supreme Court clerk.
