The ACUS Bibliography 1968-1995 includes reports, articles, and papers wholly or partially funded or sponsored by the Administrative Conference, or written by ACUS Chairs and staff members throughout the statutory existence of the Conference during the period from 1968 to 1995. This bibliography was updated through October 2015 for publication in The George Washington Law Review at 83 Geo. Wash. L. Rev. 1732 (2015). (Note: Some entries reflect related publication activity beyond 1995.)
Many reports were written by consultants performing research for the Conference in the process of developing recommendations. In addition, there are guides, sourcebooks, and manuals prepared by the staff of the Office of the Chairman, journal articles written by the staff, published transcripts of colloquia, seminars and other meetings, and papers prepared by committees or working groups. Numerous reports were also reprinted privately, so titles may vary. All known published versions are noted in the individual entries. Entries for reports that led to official ACUS recommendations contain an annotation with additional bibliographic information about the recommendation.
From 1968 through 1995, the Conference published a series of volumes identified as Recommendations and Reports. All reports appearing in this series are listed in this bibliography, but the volumes themselves are not listed as separate publications. Citations to these volumes are of the form: 1 ACUS (through 1977) or 1978 ACUS (annual publications from 1978 to 1995).
