Eugene Scalia is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he chairs the firm’s Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Group and co-chairs its Labor and Employment Practice Group.
Mr. Scalia’s practice involves regulation and enforcement by a range of federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the U.S. Department of Labor. He also participates regularly in rulemaking proceedings before federal agencies, and in litigation regarding federal regulations. His practice has included matters involving the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Mr. Scalia previously served as Solicitor of Labor, principal legal officer of the U.S. Department of Labor. He also served as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney General.
Mr. Scalia received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of Chicago.
